First comes love then comes marriage...

Hey! Welcome back! Glad you are back to read more about my life and the struggle with infertility.

On the last post, I left you guys with how my husband and I met and how we got engaged. Well, this post is all about our quick engagement and our wedding day. I say quick engagement because when we got engaged in May of 2011, we had talked about getting hitched on October 2012. Yeah, that didn't happen. We had a talk with both our families and they both agreed that there was no reason to wait. We knew from the very start that both of us wanted to marry each other. I knew he would be my husband on our first date. Yes I know, it is so cliche to say that, but I felt it in my heart. I remember going home and calling all of my friends and telling them "He's the one! He's going to be my husband." A year and nine months later he was going to be my husband. How awesome it is to find that perfect guy that God created just for you. He was my missing puzzle piece.

This was only 2 months after our first date

We decided that getting married on October 2011 (5 months after our engagement) was a great idea! Those 5 months of planning were crazy and went by real quick. Finally the day of our wedding came. I was so nervous but really happy that our special day was here. We didn't see each other all day, because you know, tradition and such. So I was really anxious and couldn't wait to see him at the end of the aisle.

I was so nervous, I had to have a drink of some delicious wine (my bridesmaids couldn't find a glass)

Oh! I almost forgot. Before we got engaged, we talked about maybe starting to try to have kids after our second year of marriage. He knew, of course, that doctors had told me when I was 16 that it would be impossible for me to get pregnant. Yeah, they do not know God's plan for me, so I ignored them.

I love this picture of my hubster

Finally, it was time to meet my husband at the end of the aisle. We were surrounded by so many people that love us, our family and friends. We were so blessed to had been able to share our special day with them all. Oh and on October 15, 2011, the holiday "Sweetest Day" had landed on that same day.
---Sweetest Day (Wikipedia reference) Friends, family, and lovers often give each other candy,                flowers, and cards on Sweetest Day.---

My dad walked me down the aisle and there was my best friend waiting for me. Our friend, Ben, was the Ordained Minister. It was our gift from him and we felt honored that he was able to join us in holy matrimony. 10 minutes later, we were finally husband and wife in the eyes of God. I was on cloud nine. I couldn't believe I was Mrs Sindi Barker. I still get butterflies when I see my name on paper.

With our family (some, not all) and friends. I love this picture!

Then it was time to celebrate our union! I had a fun time at my wedding, but sad that it all went by so fast.

This one is one of my favorites. I don't know where J got his moves from. Haha!

My wedding day was just one of the perfect days in my life. I wouldn't change a single thing. I'm so blessed to have such a Godly husband who loves and takes good care of me. I love you to infinity and beyond...

Leave a comment and let me know what you think so far. Thanks again for coming by to check my blog out!
