Let's Finish What We Started

I have seriously been out of touch with the blogging world for about a month. It's been a tough month and just wanted to take a break from blogging. So with that being said, I have tons to write about. So bare with me while I try to catch you up on what I've been up to for the past month.

The first weekend of March, a bunch of us went camping at Stubblefield Recreation Area. Yeah, we probably should've waited for another week when it wasn't freezing! But we did have a lot of fun. It was a total of 4 couples and 2 kiddos camping for the weekend. J and I were not prepared at all. This was our first time camping since we've known each other, so we had little to no camping gear. Luckily, one of our friends let us borrow his tent and my parents let us borrow a blow up mattress. I brought a bunch of blankets to keep us warm. Ok, so I don't know if you guys remember that I LOVE the cold? Well, not when it's windy and wet. That was the weather we had to endure that weekend. We got there Friday evening and left Sunday morning. It's been a while since I've gone camping. I had so much fun getting to know some new friends and catch up with old ones.

Cuties!

Haha! Weirdos!
Soooo...wanna hear a funny story? One of our friends brought two kayaks. Well, my friend and I decided that we wanted to kayak, even though we have never been on that lake before. I took a solo cup of wine and she took a beer for our mini kayak trip. We seriously thought we knew where we were going. WRONG! We got lost. We did have a radio with us but we started losing signal cause DUH! we had gone too far. And by far, I mean, we were about to go under I-45 haha! Yep...it wasn't funny then, but now we can laugh. After an hour of us "trying" to find our way back to camp, this nice guy on a fishing boat saw us and asked if we were ok. I told him what happened and he said that we weren't the first ones to get lost. Apparently, a lot of people have been getting lost because they cleared a lot of bushes and trees. Thankfully he showed us how to get back. Half way there, we found my hubs and my friend's fiancĂ© on a search and rescue boat. Aaaah! We felt horrible. Our friends had gotten worried about us and tried to borrow a boat to look for us, but they couldn't find anyone who had a boat. They had to tell the groundskeeper that they couldn't find us. Another guy on a boat was searching for us as well and told us that our friends were worried. Sorry guys! Thank you for worrying about us and sending out help. So enjoy some of the pictures before we got lost, haha!

I love this man so much!
Hurry up, Bobby. We need to get on the kayak and get lost, haha!
Lovebirds!
Before we both got lost. We did have a great conversation and a lot of fun..a few panic attack, but we had fun.

See ya!
Hurry up, Jess!
The group, but we are missing one. I almost didn't put this one up because Jess' fiance was busy and it started raining so I had to put my camera up. Sorry! We'll take another soon :)
See you guys in an hour! Haha

The kiddos. How cute are they?!

What a fun weekend! I can't wait to go camping again with our friends. Hopefully we won't go when it's freezing ;) Haha!
