And the winner is...

Hey all! Happy August 1st! Welcome to the hottest month of the year...yay...With that said, I have randomly selected a winner for my Box Full of Sunshine giveaway. I'm happy to announce that my dear IG friend @Emilie.Vandeventer is the winner!!! Please check your email so I can get your info and get your box sent to you by next week. Thank you to all that participated. I will be having another giveaway soon.

So on a different note, you all know that my first IVF was a fail. BIG FAT FAIL. I cried, I threw a pity party, I prayed to God to give me guidance. I felt better after 10 minutes. The hubs helped by cheering me up. He is an amazing person. He told me if he could take away the pain he would do it in an instant. He's so sweet and so kind. He's the one that keeps me going on this rough journey. Though I feel like giving up at times, I know that giving up is not an option. If you want something really bad you must keep going until you get it. Whether we have a child biologically or not, I will hear those words I want to hear "mommy." I just have to remember that God has my life already planned and I just need to stay still. Yeah, me stay still? Ha! I'm the worst person to tell to be patient. I know I have to be, but being patient is the hardest thing to do. We have an appointment with Dr Griffith on Thursday and we will move on to round 2. If this round doesn't work, we will have to take a break, financially we can't do more than 2 rounds before the year ends because of insurance. I hate the words "taking a break" it sounds like "giving up," but sometimes a break is what we all need. So we will see what God has planned for us. Thank you all for the encouraging words, texts, messages, love, calls, and prayers. They are all appreciated. We are truly blessed. Thank you again!

Well, enjoy some pictures of food haha! I should seriously be a food career? Maybe! Have a wonderful weekend!

Kale Berry salad with Trader Joe's Cranberry Walnut Gorgonzola dressing...yum!

My friend and I had this CrĂș with. It was a Fig and Gorgonzola Bruschetta. It was ok, but it needed more balsamic reduction or like a fig preserve.

At Jasper's we had Apple Pie Bread Pudding...delicious! I can eat bread pudding all day long.

The hubs and his many faces.

The Chief and I. He hates having his picture taken.
Sarge on the other hand, isn't. Hahaha!
Sarge wrapped up in a Saints blanket...that is not our team, Sarge! Haha
Thank you again for stopping by and entering the giveaway. Congrats again to Emilie!!! God bless!

  1. I'm so sorry to hear that your first round wasn't successful. Ive researched IVF to death though and it seems like a lot of women our age have success on their 2nd round. I have high hopes for round #2 for you. This was all in God's plans all along and He has you covered!

My husband and I have decided to move forward with IVF. We've experienced a couple of good signs that it's the right thing. We have an appt in two weeks :)

Keep us posted on your next round. Praying for you!

    1. Yes! I have read and researched and even heard from other IVFers that their 2nd IVF was a success. They always say that there's a small chance of success on your first one. Of course, that doesn't mean to lose hope. You might be the blessed one and get pregnant on your first try! I got pregnant on my first IUI and that was a small chance as well.

I'm so excited that you and your husband are giving IVF a try. It took my hubs a while to try to get on the IVF wagon. He just didn't really know much of what all went into the whole process and that made him nervous. Especially since he thought it was like playing God, which I'm glad he got informed and got comfortable with us trying it. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement! Prayers and baby dust to you and your hubs! God bless <3
